Igor Eeckhaut (aka Igor Oakwood) is a Belgian author, guide, and independent researcher exploring the intersections of language, symbolism, and human perception.
Born in Brussels in 1979, he was educated as a translator-interpreter and later pursued studies in intercultural communication and herbalism. He grew up in the Flemish-speaking north of Belgium and now lives in the south, near the renowned Han Caves, where he has worked as a guide since 2014. Alongside his work in the caves, he organizes thematic tours inspired by the ideas explored in his writing.
Igor’s research has been published in several
books and in
articles featured on international platforms such as Nexus Magazine, Ancient Origins, and Forbidden Knowledge. He has also presented his work through lectures and events in countries including England, France, the Netherlands, Bosnia, and India.
His work is shaped not only by academic and interdisciplinary study, but also by a series of profound personal experiences that led him to question conventional boundaries between perception, language, and reality. These experiences continue to inform his exploratory approach, which brings together mythology, linguistics, and emerging scientific perspectives.
Fluent in several languages, he draws on diverse cultural traditions to investigate recurring patterns across systems of knowledge. His writing invites readers to reflect on how meaning is constructed—and how human perception may play a more active role in shaping reality than is often assumed.
